Celebrate Fourth of July in the Poconos!2-bedroom timeshare available week 26 (Saturday to Saturday) in East Stroudsburg at Wyndham's Shawnee Resort, River Village II.http://www.shawneeowners.com/vil_RiverII.asp1st bedroom has a queen bed and a private bath.2nd bedroom has two twin beds. Both bedrooms are upstairs, where there is also a second bathroom. The second bathroom has a large soaking tub.The downstairs has a large screened porch, big living room with sleepable couches and cable TV, a large kitchen and large dining room in an open plan. The cookware is functional, but if you plan to do some serious cooking, you might want to bring your own knives and pans. Also, the coffee maker's a drip. There are washing machines and dryers in the cluster.This is quite near I-80, and really commute distance from New York for the hard core motorist -- it's about 90 minutes if the Lincoln Tunnel is moving quickly. Google Maps puts it at 94 minutes, 2 hours in traffic to Brooklyn Heights, on the far side of Manhattan.This is the most downhill unit in the cluster, and you get a real sense of the forest. You're also close to the walking path to the Shawnee Inn (which has espresso ;)). Shawnee is a fine resort, with a golf course, canoeing and what have you. There's a swimming pool and tennis courts about a quarter mile away, by the river.It's right in Pennsylvania's wine country, near the Appalachian trail and not far from Easton, which has both the Toe Path Canal museum and the Crayola museum. There's also some discount shopping site nearby.It's a great villa and a great week, convenient to New York City and Wilkes-Barre.
