The building is smaller and more intimate than some of the larger complexes in the area. And while the building is smaller, the unit itself is larger than many in the area, with three bedrooms, tall ceilings and a lot of character. The porch is spacious and has been great for barbequing and enjoying glasses of wine in the evening. THE AREAThe condo is, in our opinion, ideally located for just about everything you'd want to do in St. Louis. The Forest Park Metro station is within a couple of blocks, so you have immediate access to Busch Stadium, downtown, the Delmar Loop and even the airport. And we've taken advantage of every one of those stops during our time here. But despite its close distance, the street is actually very quiet with little traffic. In fact, our stretch of Waterman feels very different from the rest of the area. It's like a cozy, quiet oasis that feels very removed from the bustle of metro commuters.Also within walking distance is the Missouri History Museum, which leads directly into Forest Park. We've actually walked to the St. Louis Zoo on several occasions. It's a bit of a walk, but when the weather is nice, it's really pleasant (and way better than parking!). There are also a number of great restaurants within walking distance. We'll especially miss visiting 2Sche Café for a smoothie and caprice Panini on sunny weekends.WHY WE ARE SELLINGWhen we bought the condo three years ago, it was the perfect combination of location and size. Since then, our family has grown and we have decided it is time to move out of the city. We will definitely miss the unit, as well as taking the metro to work and enjoying weekend walks in the park.
